Ferndale is located in the residential suburb of Newlands East, Durban, with access to community resources such as Newlands East Municipal Library and Community Centre (+/-2km), the Glen Earl Community Clinic, the John Dory Drive Sports Grounds, the Newlands Swimming Pool (+/-3km) and the Chimera Nature Trail.
The school offers three reception year classes, foundation phase (Grades1 to 3), Intermediate Phase (Grades 4 to 6) and Grade 7 from the Senior Phase.
These classes are staffed by a team of committed and diligent educators under the supervision of a strong management team capable of working together to put the needs of the pupils and school first.
We think that this is a very special school and all involved in it are proud of what we do and what we achieve. Ferndale Primary School is “Where Learning Counts and Children Matter”.
Care for individual pupils and concern for academic achievement are the two fundamental principles that underpin everything we do at Ferndale Primary. Whatever your reason for visiting our website, we hope you find what you need. Please let us know if you do not or if you can think of improvements we could make.
